Car tire popped :o

26 August 2025

My car tire popped today. It was the rear right tire. I was driving on the interstate when it happened. It was kind of scary, but I'm alright. The biggest issue was getting the DoorDash order I was delivering cancelled. It was very Kafkaesque. They had to redirect me to like four different people and half of them were robots. Also as soon as my tire popped my thoughts were less "I have to figure out what to do with the tire" and more "I have to figure out what to do with the order".

While I was on the phone with DoorDash support a guy in a blue chevrolet with a shirt that said "parental advisory" on it came up and asked if I needed help. I yelled at him because help was already on the way for me, and I was scared that he might hurt me. My help later told me that the guy was probably scared of me because I was yelling.

The whole thing was kind of fun because it was a real test of the skills I learned in basic auto class back in high school. How to change a tire. It's a fun thing to do. Same with changing oil. Except I've never had to utilize that skill in the real world. At least not yet. Maybe my oil will pop as well! While writing this my beautiful girlfriend said "don't jinx it please". What she fails to realize is that oil doesn't pop like tires do. At least I think it doesn't.

I was listening to Earthling by David Bowie while this all happened. Great album. At first I prefered his album Outside, but now I've realized that Earthling is better. It is so good that it made my tire explode. I love David Bowie. My girlfriend got me into him. She told me that she was a fan so I listened to every David Bowie album. More than she's listened to actually. I've got to get back into listening to lots of albums. I don't do it as much anymore because I use CDs now. I need to hop back onto Spotify, or YouTube music or something. Today might be the first time I've posted here twice in a day. I should play Deltarune sometime. Goodnight ladies and gentlemen.

Take me home please.
